Heaven itself smiled down on me the day I had the supreme fortune to meet Florian Lacour, the French songwriter who is famous for reviving the spirit of Medieval music that minstrel singers had once spread throughout Europe.
As an upcoming singer, I knew I did not want to sing syrupy love songs or songs that left you feeling blue without a clue. I wanted to sing songs that connect to everyone, anywhere and give a boost of positive energy.
Imagine my joy when Florian Lacour approached me with some of his songs, it was an opportunity to be lifted from the realm where existence is something to complain about to the realm where Life is celebrated.
"Tant D'Années" by Florian Lacour was released on my first album “A Bahamian in Paris” in 2004 in France, and it landed me on the radio, and at FIP the eclectic Parisian music radio station, it was love at first sight.
"Dans Les Petits Cafés" by Florian Lacour is featured on my newly release album “Babylon Café” and my choice song as a video clip to promote the album.
